auto_stories Core Theology of The Gate
One God, Three Persons. We worship the Creator as a beautiful mystery of unity and community: One God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14
Grounded in the Word. The Old and New Testaments are the divinely inspired Word of God, serving as our ultimate guide for faith and everyday life. 2 Tim 3:16, Ps 119:105
Jesus, Our Center. Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Son of God. Born of a virgin, He lived a flawless life, died on the cross for our sins, conquered the grave, and will return as our victorious Lord. Col 1:15-20, Heb 1:1-3
A Theology of Grace. Salvation is a pure gift. We cannot earn it; we can only receive it by grace through faith in Jesus. This grace awakens our security, empowers us, and creates a culture of openness, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Eph 2:8-9, Titus 2:11
God's Design for Marriage. We believe that God created marriage as a sacred, lifelong covenant exclusively between one man and one woman, beautifully reflecting the loving union between Christ and His Church. Gen 2:24, Matt 19:4-6
flare Life in the Spirit at The Gate
Faith in Action. True faith responds to Jesus with repentance, public confession, and a life of obedience. We celebrate this journey through baptism by immersion, which beautifully depicts our union with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. James 2:17, Rom 6:3-4
The Holy Spirit’s Power. Every believer is filled with the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Guide, and Advocate. We eagerly pursue the active, charismatic gifts of the Spirit today, practicing them in a way that is anchored in Scripture, honors all, and is free from manipulation. Acts 1:8, 1 Cor 12:4-11
A Lifestyle of Worship & Prayer. Passionate worship and dedicated prayer are the heartbeat of our community. We believe God is actively seeking worshipers and intercessors, and we make room for His presence. We also regularly celebrate communion to remember His sacrifice. John 4:23-24, 1 Thess 5:17, 1 Cor 11:23-26
public Our Shared Mission & Reach
The Church on Mission. The church is the living extension of Jesus in the world. We are called to embody His character, attitude, and mission every single day. Matt 5:14-16, Eph 1:22-23
Making Disciples. A passion for Jesus naturally translates into a passion to be like Him. Our greatest priority is helping people grow into the image of Christ. Matt 28:18-20, Rom 8:29
Sharing the Good News. We believe every person has a unique calling, but our shared, primary mission is to follow Jesus’ example by sharing His Good News and leading others into freedom. Mark 16:15, Rom 10:14-15
Unity in the City. We are better together. We partner with other churches and ministries to impact our city, building bridges to reconcile races, generations, and genders. Ps 133:1, John 17:21-23
An Apostolic Calling. We view ministry holistically. We equip believers to take the mission of Jesus everywhere, whether feeding the poor, planting churches across the globe, or bringing Kingdom values into business, government, education, and the arts. Every vocation is a ministry. Eph 4:11-12, Col 3:23-24
Covenant Promises. We celebrate a God who makes and keeps covenants. Because of this, we seek to bless the nation of Israel, rejoicing that God is making Jew and Gentile one in Christ, and we anticipate His love touching every nation on earth. Gen 12:1-3, Rom 11:25-29
